Conclusion: better without. I've been without any cover and has not gotten any other scratch. Nice look, however, it makes you phone bulkier, but I still used it until I notice dirt was getting in between the phone and cover, and this scratched my phone on the silver trims. Inmediately I removed it, but damage was already there.
It doesn't help the volume however I would recommend this product. This case will really prevent your phone from getting wear and tear on it so it is worth the price to keep your phone pristine. This cover is not the most stylish however it will not fade or rub off with use. The snap on fit is good and sung and will protect your phone if you are prone to dropping things.
I had to purchase that separately to complete the protection of my phone. This case is great for protecting the outside of my phone but it would be so much better if it included a screen protector.
